Teamspeak Staff guidelines

The purpose and role of Teamspeak Staff are to help the community manager the TS3 server. This ranges anywhere from handling member's behavior, to helping fix issues in channels and so on. Like all staff ranks in all of the Skynet servers, there are guidelines that must be followed for a staff member to keep the rank.

Offices:
Regardless of whether or not you have TS staff, the only people who may have an office are those who have the gotten permission by a Founder. If you are the lead of a server, once the server is up then you may ask for an office.

Kicking/banning:
When you encounter someone who is being a minge, mic spamming, or just trying to start problems, there are certain steps that should be followed.

First offense: Give the individual a warning, explaining to him that should he continue, you will kick him.

Second offense: If they continue, kick them from the server.

Third offense: If they return and continue, ban them for an hour.

Fourth offense: If they return and still continue, then you may permaban them from the TS server.

Please remember any issues that you may have so, that if they head to the forums you will be able to clearly and honestly give your side of the story, as well as have witnesses to help back your claim.

Editing channels:
If you have the rank of Teamspeak Staff, you DO NOT have the right to edit other's channels.

The only time you have access to edit channels is 1. You're involved in that channel, or 2. You have been given permission by the channel’s owner.

Examples:
I am the MTF General, I will be constantly editing the MTF channels under SRS due to the fact that I own them.

I am in Baker’s office, he asks me to change the password, seeing as he gave me perms to do so, I will.

Entering locked channels:
If you do not have the password to the channel, do not join without permission. If you wish to talk to someone, poke them asking for permission.

Ranking structure:
Do not think you're above people because you have a new server tag. While you may order members to quit breaking rules, you may not order them to do anything else.
Founders, owners, and Co-owner outrank you, do as they say.

Moving members:
Unless they are involved in a current issue, please ask people if you may move them prior to doing so. It is annoying for people to constantly moved against their will.
