When the hell are we gonna get the SRS Server fixed up. We have the man power and the supplies/materials in order to get this shit done however the effort being put forth by the guys we got running it is pathetic. Not to be a dick, even though this makes me look like one, but I've brought up the issues to those who I believed could help the situation, spoke on said issues and problems that need to be fixed for around thirty seconds before the subject was changed. I see people complain about how shit doesn't get done on SRS as far as fixing things, yet those people who complain never go to the full length to get the situation fixed and handled properly, which has led me to write this out, and I'm not putting it in the suggestions list because Will has already pretty much said that never gets looked at so whats the point.
If you guys want the server to get players and not be a waste of time, SRS staff as well as community members who'd like to see the server become populated must dedicate themselves for at least an hour or more towards the fixation of the server instead of "Oh yea this shits still broke, maybe we'll get around to it later, but until then lets blame others and complain about how its not getting fixed" <-- That's all I hear and can think of whenever someone brings up an issue about the SRS SCP server anymore. Seriously its really fucking stupid due to that's how our problem fixing situations are actually dealt with. Can I get someone to possibly help me out with this shit because the past few days I've gotten extremely pissed off that nothing is getting anywhere and we're sitting around waiting for this work to get done itself. Lets stop blaming people for not doing their jobs and use those who we have at our command to work more efficiently and do their jobs. Why the fuck do we have these developers who I only hear grab models, the last developer, Lamoin, Saladmander whatever the fuck his name was, got banned and I hadn't even seen him on since Hypernova. Thats a god damn issue, where was he all that time, we could've had him working out issues along with fixing problems, not once did I hear his name come up in the teamspeak, and even now I still don't hear the names of developers come up, unless its Silver who's actually doing shit and getting the server its models (Good job to you Silver if you're reading this) but for christsakes, we have all of these people that could atleast be doing research as to how we can fix problems but everyone seems to be too damn lazy for it, why? I have no fucking clue its like a god damn mystery.
I shouldn't have to go and write this shit out but in order to compete in the future we have to drop these habits because they're going to lead to our demise along with becoming Concordia who only updates their shit every so often, but the worst part is, THEIR DEVELOPERS AND UPDATES ARE ACTUALLY GOOD! Ours have been a series of disappoints thus far. Either broken, having to be removed or an entire Server reset goes the fuck down. We need to step our shit up or get the hell out of the game, the waiting means nothing, we're not waiting for anything, wasting time is more like what it seems. We don't need to wait for money to update shit, we have somewhat decent coders at best, or even worse than that from my knowledge.
For the next few weeks I'm going to be trying to push people to work more efficiently on SRS even though it shouldn't have to be that way. If it means hiring some fuckbag from Script fodder or whatever the hell people use to hire programmers using my own money, I will. I'd like to see this shit succeed but when you only have a bunch of people who complain and rarely move it gets increasingly more difficult. For those who believe we've had a successful update in the SRS server, let me list them, tell me if I'm wrong:
Jobs, class load outs, spawns and blinking. Fucking perfect.
What did we fuck up on? Or are rarely trying to improve for some reason?
SWEP's, proper redirect script, the cooperation of those working on the server, SCP models (Who only silver is working on from what I know), and updating the server in order to fix all of the issues that aren't stated. Surface Server- which apparently can be up, yet the redirect script isn't working.
My biggest issue on this list is the SCP SWEPS that are fucked. How can we have a facility with little to no properly working Sweps, from what I've heard, you need to respawn if you don't spawn with them, and sometimes they aren't even the proper SWEP, or the SWEP is broken in whole and you need to call someone to give it to you.
Over reacting? Maybe just a little, or maybe its the fact we've been at this since September and just started getting somewhere and after the servers successfully up with 32 avg people for a week, one week, then everyone pretty much just left and thought the server could run on its own without any fixes needed etc.
