This board is strictly moderated and has a clear set of rules that you all should be aware of. (Right?)

AS OF AUGUST 20th, 2017, ANYONE BELOW THE RANK OF TRUSTED ADMIN WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO DIRECTLY HANDLE THESE PROBLEMS UNLESS PRESENT ON THE SERVER AND DEALT WITH AS A NORMAL SIT. THIS INCLUDES THE FACT THAT FORUM MODERATORS DO NOT HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO CLOSE THESE THREADS IF THEY DO NOT BREAK THESE FORUM RULES OR TEMPLATE RULES.

This means that you should assume that you cannot reply to a thread unless:
• You created the thread yourself.
• You have USEFUL information that will help out, for example: If a player doesn't know of any staff, or doesn't know how to attach a picture or video, then providing this information is helpful.
• Proof that needs to be presented justifying on the person should be banned.

Examples of when you should NOT be posting include:
• "Helpful" advice, such as getting a player to try 'this and that' or 'don't try this and that' to further "help" them. (Trust me, we know more about the rules and server than you do). (In short: Trolling)
• Speculation about what might happen to the player(s) that are reported/reporting.
• General comments such as "You always troll anyway", or "You don't even know the rules".

Additional rules:
• Do NOT attach polls to your threads. (This is generally useless information and contributes NOTHING for someone's report).
• You will NOT report someone using their own/someone else's thread. Create your own thread on the report a player board for this.
• If you have to make a comment about how the reporter might be a troll or doesn't care, then please by all means do so AFTER reading their appeal and giving a civil opinion about it/them.

Now that everyone has been reminded, you can expect forum moderators to be much more strict in issuing board/forum sanctions against users who post here when they shouldn't.

If there is anyone breaking these rules, they will be warned personally and if it continues, banned temporarily.
Since you're all supposed to read this thread before posting, I'll assume everyone that posts in this board has read this - so there really is no excuse, is there?

You may not think that your blind attempt to contribute is a bad thing, but whenever a player has already been led on a wild goose chase by a load of forum users who are just stabbing in the dark, it means more work for us and it wastes our time and theirs.
