Publicly Noticed Glitches that may need looking into.

Suggestion Title:

What a Glitch!

How would it benefit the server:
Glitches are bitches, but these bitches are in need of stitches.
Glitches can cause obvious confusion, rule-breakage, and mass chaos at times.

Potential Issues/Exploits:
A glitch update is not exploitable to my knowledge, but it could cause more glitches I suppose.

Additional notes:
This individual thread as a whole is made for people to add to, if you notice a glitch that is NOT STAFF RELATED was not on the list please add it!

1) 106 cannot phase through doors currently, blob and I noticed this a few days ago when the server was empty. 106 is a very popular SCP and fixing him could make the entire server a little more hectic, and interesting.

2) Lockpicks, lots of players are complaining lockpicks are not working, dunno why or how, but a LOT of players are making this claim.

3) Doors, lots of doors such as the light and heavy containment doors occasionally glitch and fail to open, even to those with level 5 cards like the site director, dunno what the hell is going on there and it may be an actual lever or switch on the map forcing them shut instead of an actual glitch, but even some of the staff is confused on this one.

4) Although I have not looked into the matter personally I have heard 682 has had trouble breaking down SOME doors.

5) Due to the map mostly having 2 doors in one, many players have been causing a glitch where one door closes but the other won't, they often use this to prevent MTF or Security to go through said doors. I have even fallen for this as a D-Class and got arrested due to the player's tomfoolery. Since we cannot fix THAT glitch without a map change, perhaps a rule against doing this is in order?

6) 939 killing anything in one hit. 939 currently appears to be able to kill even godmode staff at times, I don't know WHY this is or if it has been fixed, but this is a BIG issue, perhaps lowering 939's damage to just a tad under 682's damage?

7) Electric Gates react to cloaked/no-clipped staff, I found this out when cloak/no-clipped by a staff and I flew to explore the map lightly, the server had maybe 3 or 4 players who weren't staff and the gates kept spamming, at first I thought they had broken and constantly went off without reason, then I realized it was going off because of me!
If we cannot fix THAT issue we may want to AT LEAST make sure other staff are aware of this issue to avoid accidentally killing someone with it!

8) 939's dead body. Just look at it and you will know what I mean, it is actually hilarious to see, but kinda creepy, probably the SMALLEST glitch to worry about tbh.

9) I have found that the new SCP, 1899 (the pizza one) has a toss-able machete, that thing has BEAUTIFUL range, that isn't the issue though. The issue is when it is thrown and hits a floor, it can sometimes begin to rapidly spin and phase through the floor, making it nearly impossible for ANYONE to pick it up.

As part of the dev team we will hopefully get these fixed in the next few weeks
I truly do believe in the dev team, and I am sure you guys/gals/others were aware of at least some of these, I merely made the thread to make a quicker way for you folks to find out about glitches rather than have the players tell other players who tell low-rank-staff who tell high rank staff who tell you, just cut the un-necessary steps and bring the word straight to y'all.

i've seen 2 through 8 at one point or another i would say most annoying is the doors and the 939 and godmode i only know about this glitch because i wanted to test if 939 after i was one shotted not in god mode could kill a godmoded staff member and it can and i agree with jon's method on doing this


edit: good to see we have a confirmation from the dev team

939 can be stopped with a door
This is not a glitch, certain SCPs are not supposed to be able to interact with objects and only 682 is allowed to break down doors, if you would like other SCPs to break down doors that would belong in a new suggestion thread altogether.

I never said it was a glitch im saying that you can stop it with a door

With the 682 glitch it is true i love being that scp but the only doors i can ever break open are his own containment cell doors. Even when enraged 682 cannot open any of the doors so to get out he now needs either a foolish researcher, dumb d block and or ci/admin to open all the doors to the surface or in-front of him to get out which is hard since if he's enraged he will have to kill those helping him. It's really bad when the first time i came onto the new map think two days ago i was escaping when all the doors closed around me trapping me in the room.

Another glitch i came across is the airlock room doors where the security leader spawns. for example if a player either d class or anyone else stands in the way of a door closing the door on the other side will close but that one will stay open it's easily fixed by just standing in the closed doors way when opening both doors but it is difficult to escape if security do that intentionally. other than that sometimes only one side of any door in the map will close but the other won't it's easily fixed but thought you should know.


ps: love the new map some of these glitches are hilarious Hope my experience with the glitches help narrow down how to fix them.

here's another I just had 280 can kill god moded staff as well like 939 why can certain SCP's kill god moded staff anyways?

That's a good question, it is PROBABLY because instead of doing damage they basically use the slay command to insta-kill targets. Perhaps changing this so that they do large amounts of damage could fix this issue?
