Server Name:
US SCP-RP
Suggestion Title:
Shut-Up-Already!
How would it benefit the server:
Allowing players to use the mute feature in the tabs menu, but making it so you wouldn't have to RE-MUTE someone every log-in could be an effective way to end harassment on the server!
Potential Issues/Exploits:
It could lead to glitches where people accidentally mute someone and can't un-mute them, but that could be worked on as well by theory.
Additional notes:
The idea goes as this.
Currently players can mute each other so they (and only they) don't have to hear each other in the voice chat, but you can still see text chat to allow for RP still, so why is it whenever you leave the server the player is un-muted?
Perhaps an IN TEXT COMMAND such as "!PSilence >playername<" (standing for "Personal Silence") could be used, that way logs can record players muting people to avoid RP situations AND still allows players protection from harassment indefinitely!
Obviously such a system holds flaws and issues I am sure, but it may be a step in the right direction nonetheless!
