The following is an unofficial guide to becoming SCP-RP server staff created by Jon E Goodmen. Staff rules, application format, and what we look for in staff is always able to change. This guide is more of a suggestion and should be taken with the understanding that although the author believes he knows what he is talking about, he can still be wrong and is human just like you.

Greetings member of the Skynet Community! I hope you've been enjoying your stay in Skynet servers so far! Allow me to be your tour guide and congratulate you on joining the ever-growing community! With this in mind, I should probably get started and show you the way to Skynet's best!

Step 1) Check your warns.
"But Jon", you may be saying to yourself, "why the hell do my warns matter?"
To keep things, simple young adventurer. It's the first thing staff check when they consider your application! So to check your warns, type "!warn" in chat. Upon doing so it shall list your warns, the reason for the warns, the staff member who gave it to you, and the date/time of the warn. If you have more than 3 warns in the week you applied, or 10 in the month then odds are the staff team will not support your application! Although only a few members of the staff team truly matter in decision making, it doesn't hurt to start on a good note!

Step 2) Ask around
It never hurts to ask staff members what they think about you applying. They may even suggest the idea to you! But what if they advise against it? Fear not! They don't have to like you! You can apply regardless of what people think of you as a person/player/etc! Although it never hurts to take other's opinions in mind.

Step 3) Check your schedule!
Checking your schedule may be the most important aspect of being staff. With weekly meetings on Fridays ( https://forums.skynetc.net/threads/weekly-staff-meetings.3291/#post-15459 ) and a minimum requirement of reports taken. I would only advise someone who could put in at least 21 hours a week on GMod to apply! (that's an average of 3 hours a day) However, exceptions can be made nonetheless!

Congratulations young traveler! You have made it through the first guide! Make your application according to the format and have good luck!
